Along the Hwy1 - Big Sur

When Hana visited the Bay Area last month, me and her also went on a short trip to several coastal towns along California Highway 1. We spent the first day of our trip visiting state parks and a beach in the Big Sur Region.


I drove pass the Bixby Creek Bridge several years ago; this time I finally got a chance to take a good look at this beautiful architecture.



We took a short hike to the Pfeiffer Falls at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. I really enjoy walking through the forest with the redwood scent filled in the air.



And then we drove further south to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park to check out another waterfall - The McWay Falls. This fall would flow into the Pacific Ocean during high tide.



We stopped by this art gallery on our way back to the north. Most of the artworks in this gallery are created by the talented artists in the Hawthorne family.

Our last destination of the day is the Pfeiffer Beach. The sunset was just wonderful.

之前有好心人喺附近條街(Hayes St. 近 Pierce St.)度mark咗一點可以影晒六間Victorian Houses同埋三藩市市中心
不過我第二次去時發現嗰點已經俾人油咗 :(

Hamburgers - Sausalito

I heard that people often line up outside of this burger joint which sounds like a must-try to me. After spending a long time staring at the grill with an empty stomach (the wait was actually longer for the volunteer who lined up and ordered the food for us while we went window-shopping for a while), we finally got our hands on the charbroiled burgers. As you can see from the picture, the burger patty and cheese are really thick, but I was kind of disappointed that the patty is not juicy enough. Other than that, it is a good burger, just not good enough to make me stand in line for it.


We had also tried their hot dog. It is surprisingly tasty; we all agree that it is better than the burger. The fries are good too! I would like to come back and line up for their hot dog and fries!

上個再上個週末, 我...

第一次與娜小姐見面
- 上年慫恿過她來三藩市, 但沒有成行, 今次她終於可以來探我們喇! 娜小姐真人跟她blog的一個公仔很像喔。

第一次跟美少女廚神對話
- 其實這是我第二次見她了, 話說有次在公共交通工具上遇到她, 但當時不太肯定那是她本人, 而且我快要下車, 所以沒有上前相認。 那個週末美少女廚神請我們到她家食飯, 可惜當天不是她下廚, 無緣嘗到她弄的菜。現在很妒忌某人呢!

第一次遊Sausalito
- 有朋自遠方來, 當然不少得遊三藩市的景點啦。 那天我們還到了金門大橋另一端的Sausalito, 坐在海旁享受下午茶, 吃飽後我們玩了一個很有童真的小遊戲。:p
