Along the Hwy1 - Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz是這次Hwy1之旅的最後一站



我們先去了Natural Bridges State Beach
其實這個公園已經名不付實了
因為天然橋中間的部份已倒塌
不能看到橋原本的面目真可惜呢!



開車沿著岸邊的路走
經過一座燈塔
原來那裡便是Surfing Museum


雖然當時天色非常昏暗
但仍然有人在博物館附近的海面滑浪
Santa Cruz真不愧為Surf City

Bubba Gump - Monterey

雖然我很喜歡Forrest Gump這套電影
但之前從沒去過Bubba Gump試他們的全蝦餐
可能我對主題餐廳的食物沒信心吧!



這次跟Hana一起嚐過後
發覺Bubba Gump並沒有我想像中那麼差



招待我們的侍應生真好!
她安排了近海的窗口位給我們
而且那兒可以看到樓頂牆上的裝飾




Shrimper's Net Catch (w/ garlic spice)很不錯呢!


這個Shrimper's Heaven好壞參半
最好味道是Coconut Shrimp
最難食是Tempura
其餘兩個普普通通啦
其實我最欣賞是伴碟的coleslaw
那拌菜的沙拉醬有淡淡的果味
很可口!

Along the Hwy1 - Pebble Beach

第二天早上去了Pebble Beach的17-Mile Drive
我們從Carmel那邊的關札進入
全段路共有二十一景點
其實不是每一個地方也值得一看 (例如: 高爾夫球場)
以下是我比較喜歡的景點



The Lone Cypress - 這棵孤柏是Pebble Beach的地標



The Ghost Tree - 光脫脫的柏樹也有其風味

(右) Spanish Bay - 這才是真正的Pebble Beach嘛



當我們到達　Bird Rock　時突然括起大風
然後又下了一場小雨
真狼狽!

但今天她乘搭公共交通工具回公司

下班時她很自然地從袋裏掏出車匙

當看不到車子後才如夢初醒

Little Sheep Hot Pot (小肥羊) - San Mateo

星期四去咗sport bar睇Warriors對Nuggets
雖然我哋隊波輸咗
但係都無損我想大吃一餐嘅意慾


今年都冇乜機會打邊爐
所以拉咗我個friend去小肥羊


其實我哋叫咗原味湯底
(哩個鴛鴦湯底係送錯嘅)
我同我個friend都好鐘意個原味湯底
到依家我仲好回味呀


佢哋D超薄肉片唔係特別好食
個雞肉仲要又乾又鞋口


手打三寶丸真係真材實料
蝦丸最好味
其餘兩款肉丸都okay
不過好難熟透

Vivolo's Chowder House - Pacific Grove

I fell into the tourist trap at Monterey Cannery Row once where I had the worst fried fish in my life, so I had done my homework this time before I returned to the Monterey area.



I selected several highly rated (and affordable) restaurants in the area and let Hana picked the one she likes. It turned out our choice was not bad.


Clam Chowder - It tasted more like Cream of Herb, but the garlic cheese bread lid is quite good.


We were afraid that their oysters won't be very fresh, that's why we ordered them fried, but we were wrong. The oysters are not bad and we liked the way they fried them since the coating wasn't too thick.


The prawns were quite fresh too and Hana liked the sauce a lot.

有時唔係一定好食先會返轉頭
好似Bakesale Betty咁
雖然我食過兩次佢嘅炸雞三文治都唔覺得有D Yelpers 講到咁正
但係個老闆同D員工真係好人到不得了

第一次去Bakesale Betty時老闆畀咗個big big surprise我
今日又喺外賣袋度發現個小驚喜
次次去完都會覺得好愉快

縱使個炸雞三文治不能得我歡心
佢哋D cookies 都唔錯
最正係oatmeal raisin cookie
下次去想試吓佢哋個strawberry shortcake

天氣大變

前幾日都仲要攬住件褸,
依家竟然熱到好似夏天咁,
最慘係我今日著咗黑色長袖Fleece呀!
