There was a poll on Legoland.com a while back asking which US city we would like to add to miniland USA. Among the five cities in the poll, I chose Las Vegas because it would be interesting to see those famous hotels in their miniature forms. I could also imagine the lighting in miniland Vegas will be amazing.

Legoland finally fulfilled our wishes with the opening of miniland Vegas tomorrow. When Ms. R broke the news to me, I got so excited that I feel like to fly to "Vegas" this weekend, but I think I better go there when the park is closed at a later hour, so I can see the mini Vegas after dark. :)

GRÉGOIRE - Berkeley

Gregoire 係一家賣法國餐嘅小店。 佢哋主要係做外賣order, 如果要堂食就請先霸位, 因為全店只有外面兩張檯。

我同細路六點幾去到 Gregoire, 啱啱有張檯空。

Crispy potato puffs - jatbar大力推薦哩個小食, 但係我唔覺得好特別。 點埋中間個Mayo醬會好漏添呀。


Grilled Australian lamb chops, garlic & thyme cream - order時沒有人問我要幾成熟, 但廚師姐姐把羊扒烤得有點生。不過都好好味而且那羊扒一點也不羶。


Grilled Ecuadorian shrimp & bacon, herbed demi glaze - 好有蝦味呀, 不過細路嫌D蝦燒得唔夠爽。

Coffee Break

The Seattle-based coffee company is giving away free 12- ounce cups of brewed coffee from 10 a.m. to noon at nearly all of its U.S. and Canadian stores Thursday.

The promotion comes on the heels of Consumer Reports magazine's saying last month that McDonald's premium roast coffee tasted better and cost less than drip coffee at Starbucks.

Consumer Reports magazine may be right about the Starbucks coffee. I went there today to get breakfast and the complimentary coffee. Something smells like Hong Kong style western breakfast lured me so I decided to try their breakfast sandwich too. The coffee is really no where close to the OK level. The sandwich is even worse. Not sure if the quality of their coffee is nationwide though.

Gelateria Naia - Berkeley

大概兩年沒有來過這家雪糕店, 店名好像也改了
沒關係, 這兒的雪糕跟以前一樣好味



看到五花八門的雪糕味道
頭痛的事又來了
我不能吃太多雪糕
但是買細杯裝最多只可以選兩種味 (中杯裝可選四種, 大杯裝可選六種)
從五十多種味之中選兩個味真的不容易喔!





想了很久最後還是點了榛子和黑芝麻 (好像每一次都是點這兩個)
榛子味仍然那般香滑可口
但黑芝麻雪糕裏面太多芝麻粒
不過令我最傾心的是媽媽點的菠蘿雪糕
吃這雪糕就像在品嘗不用嘴嚼的菠蘿
我知道下一次再去的時候只可以選一種味道了 :p
另外媽媽覺得開心果味也蠻不錯

1. 日右翼雜誌 反華有市場

報道指YouTube「被反日宣傳污染」，又揚言中韓透過英語版維基百科網站，上載諸如南京大屠殺有30萬人遇害等「歪曲事實」的材料，並炮轟今年將上畫的電影《南京大屠殺》，是海外華僑與中國企業合力炮製的反日宣傳等。

2. 安倍指慰安婦之說無實據

日本首相安倍晉三指出，所謂日本在二次大戰強迫亞洲婦女做軍妓(慰安婦)之說沒有真憑實據。

真係好想變佢做二戰時嘅慰安婦等佢親身體驗吓!!!
