We got the Wii

Everyone is shopping for products at a deep discount on Black Friday, but me and my brother just want to buy a regular-priced Nintendo Wii (say NO to the inflated prices on eBay). Being disappointed of last Sunday launch, we had checked several stores to see if they will have the Wii back in stock soon. Only Toys R Us and Gamestop/EBgames were firm about Friday. I know Toys R Us open at 5AM today, so we just got there a bit after 4:30AM. It was freezing cold outside and worst part is we waited 30 minutes in the cold just to find out they don't actually have any Wii in stock. We were pissed and rushed to the Gamestop store in the mall nearby. We got there 40 minutes before the store open. There was about 11 people in line but the guy who works at the store said they only have 10 Wii in stock. It seemed kinda hopeless at that point, but I decided to stay in line and asked my brother to wait at another video game store in the same mall. It turns out the store only has 8 Wii available and some people ahead of me are friends or family who only purchase one system, so I was able to grab the second last Wii in store. We were that close from losing another opportunity to buy a Wii thanks to Toys R Us.

Surprise Surprise

I didn't really check on those Black Friday deals, but last night I happened to sleep late and found that some electronic stores were making the Black Friday deals available online after midnight. One of the stores has so many good deals that I have to keep telling myself "you don't need this and you don't need that". However, the bad thing came when the website didn't let us checkout until they were done with updating the prices. I kept clicking the checkout button every 30 seconds, but that is still better than spending the Thanksgiving night camping in front of the store under the cold weather (I heard that some people begin to line up in front of BestBuy yesterday evening).

At last, the order went through and I was off to bed after receiving the confirmation e-mail.

一段路

以前上學必經的那段高速公路
畢業後便沒有再走過
昨晚回家的時候
我特地往那段路走一趟

當駛進公路時
我不禁興奮地加速前進
就像從前放學回家那麼歸心似箭

車子輕鬆地跑了上山
越過高山又越過谷
衝下斜坡
避開了一輛慢車

突然之間我想起了我上一部車
一部上斜坡時會遭人白眼的舊車(註)

車子繼續往山上爬
我想著跟舊車一起"走過"的日子
一道流星在夜空劃過...

無奈地那段公路只有兩條行車線=_=

Fish Eye

Finally finish off the film in my Fish Eye camera. So anxious to see how many film I had wasted with my poor photography skill. Often time the pictures I took with the Fish Eye is just like a circle on the picture with the outer portion blacked out. I need to work on the angles and visualize the fish eye view point.

3D Costumes

I don't know if this is a new Halloween fashion for 2006. Some Superman (or Mr. Incredible) costumes now come with fake muscle padded inside the clothing. Is that important for the kids to feel muscular? Hopefully, they won't bring that idea to the Princess costumes next year.
